Biographies


Philip Monahan, Managing Partner

Philip Monahan is a graduate (MA, BBS) of Trinity College, Dublin and a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland. He joined Keveny Monahan & Co. as managing partner in 2006. He has previously served as Honorary Secretary of the Chartered Accountants Leinster Society. Prior to Keveny Monahan & Co., Philip worked in medium sized practices in Ireland, and also held several senior finance roles with IBM.

 

Barry Griffin, Practice Manager

Barry is a graduate of the University of Ulster and holds a BA (Hons) History degree (1997) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Studies from NUI, Galway (1999). He became a member of the ACCA in December 2005 and a Fellow of the Association in 2010. He previously worked for a mid-sized practice based in the north east of Ireland as an Audit Senior and was appointed as a Business Development Manager in 2007. His responsibilities included audit, corporate tax, corporate business projections, management accounts production and analysis and personal taxation. He joined Keveny Monahan & Co. in January 2012.

Lorraine Boyle, Senior Accountant

Lorraine is from Cavan and is a member of ACCA and AITI. Lorraine worked and trained with Keveny Monahan from 2008 to 2013. Upon her qualification as a tax consultant, Lorraine left to take up employment with accountancy practices in Cavan. Lorraine returned to Keveny Monahan as a senior accountant in 2017

Shane O'Connor

Shane graduated with a BA Honours Degree in Business with Accounting from the Tallaght Institute of Technology. During his time in college, Shane was awarded the CIMA Global Business Challenge national winner 2015. Shane is continuing his studies with ACCA.

Paige Crabtree

Paige graduated with a Bachelor of Business (Honours) Degree in Accounting and Finance from the Institute of Technology, Tallaght. Paige has also completed a summer internship in EY within their corporate tax department.

 

James O’Callaghan

James is from Cork and graduated from UCC with a B.Comm. James is a qualified accountant and is a Fellow of ACCA.

 

Jennifer Ayibiowu

Jennifer is a trainee accountant with our firm having graduated with a Bachelor of Business (Honours) Degree in Accounting and Finance from the Institute of Technology, Tallaght.

 

Retired Past Partner and Principals


Joseph Keveny

Joe Keveny founded Keveny Gilhawley & Co. in 1980 and later teamed up with Philip Monahan to form the Keveny Monahan & Co. partnership. Joe has retired from day to day practice after over 45 years, however remains in contact with the firm.

John Webb

John Webb was the principal and founder of John A. Webb & Co. Chartered Accountants and was in practice on a day-to-day basis for over 50 years. John transferred his practice to Keveny Monahan & Co. in 2013 and remains as a consultant.
